The process of properly replacing flashing on old chimneys is becoming a lost art. However, with over 15 years in residential roofing, we have hundreds of them under our belt and we are ready to save yours from further deterioration today!! We always remove all the old lead or tin base and counter flashing thoroughly with a grinder to ensure a clean level wall to reflash into. We then install brand new base flashing all around with proper diverters at all 4 corners. Then comes the counter which is the finish and must be done using patience and precision! We grind out the mortar and strive for perfect, tight, clean and long lasting workmanship on all the custom bent counter flashing, then the final part is re-filling the mortar and a few touch ups if needed to improve structural integrity!
